Guccio Gucci was approved on March 26, 1881 in the city of Florence, Italy. He was born from a simple family. His father named Gabriello Gucci who worked as a leather craftsman in the industrial area of Florence.To help his family, when he was little Guccio Gucci left Italy in 1898 and traveled to France and worked there. From France, Guccio then went to London to look for greater employment opportunities.
There, he was accepted to work in a hotel called Savoy Hotel as an elevator or liftboy guard. In England, while working as an elevator guard, he saw and contacted many upper-class people in England, especially the nobles.
He was very impressed with the style of his hotel guests, especially the bags and luxury accessories they wore which were made by a company in London called ‘H.J. Cave & Sons' which produce luxury goods made of leather.
After a long time working in London, Guccio Gucci then returned to his hometown in Florence. Inspired by what he had seen in London and Paris, he began to help him make saddles and leather bags.
Demand for saddles is quite a lot from the nobility. However, the development of industrial technology that is increasingly advanced at this time, is increasing when the car makes the demand will increase.
To overcome this, Gucci began making accessories so that the business could continue. In 1921, he then founded a shop called "House of Gucci" which produces leather bags and accessories in Florence.
In building his business, Guccio Gucci combined the expertise he got from his father as a craftsman with the sophistication in making bags and accessories that he saw while working in Paris and London.

Gucci Gucci settled in West Sussex, England, until he died on January 2, 1953. He died when the company he founded was at the peak of fame.His business inheritance was later taken over by his sons. The brand has also experienced many changes since then. However, until now Gucci is still considered one of the top global brands in the international fashion world.After his death, his sons took control of Gucci's business, for example Rodolfo ran a company in Milan, Vasco oversaw production in Florence, and Aldo moved to New York to manage Gucci's overseas branches.The Gucci brand continues to develop and create iconic designs over the years, even after the death of its founder. The Gucci company later changed its logo to "GG" which was interrelated, signaling the name of its founder Guccio Gucci in the mid-1960s.
